// SPECPROD
Built for the impossible.
We're the crew that shows up when everyone else says 'no.' Snowstorms, mountain summits, the inside of a hurricane — if the story is there, we'll figure out how to film it. We break gear, we break rules, and somehow we always get the shot.
"Together for better entertainment." That's not just a slogan — it's why we freeze our asses off at 3am on a glacier.
We do whatever we want.
How we want. When we want.
SpecProd started because someone asked us to film on a mountain in a blizzard. Every other production house said "that's impossible." We said "hold my beer." The footage was beautiful. The producer threw up. We all laughed about it later.
We're not a standard crew. We're a bunch of slightly unhinged filmmakers who looked at the most hostile places on Earth and thought, "yeah, we can shoot there." We modify our own gear, train our own protocols, and operate on our own terms. Because when you're the best at what you do, you get to write the rules.
Our mission is simple: make film and entertainment great again. Not with corporate buzzwords and safe choices. With guts, creativity, and the willingness to go where the story actually lives — even if that story is on a glacier at 2am with a broken heater and a camera that definitely shouldn't be working anymore.
Extreme environments. Extreme results.
We don't do 'normal.' If you want a studio shoot with a green screen, call someone else. If you want footage from the edge of an active volcano, we're your team.
HIGH-ALTITUDE FILMING
We lugged cameras up a 4,000m peak in a whiteout. The client wanted 'epic.' We gave them frostbite and the best B-roll of their lives.
ARCTIC & POLAR CONDITIONS
Ever tried changing a lens at -30°C with numb fingers? We have. And somehow the footage looks like magic. Svalbard, Greenland, Antarctica — bring it.
STORM & HURRICANE COVERAGE
200km/h winds. Flying debris. Zero visibility. We strapped cameras to the truck, tied ourselves to the tripod, and got the shot. Don't ask about the insurance.
VOLCANIC & THERMAL ZONES
Active volcanoes. Lava fields. The kind of heat that melts GoPros. We built a custom rig that survived 48 hours next to a vent. It smelled like burnt rubber. Worth it.
AERIAL & DRONE CINEMATOGRAPHY
We crashed a $15k drone into a canyon wall once. The footage was so good the client paid for the replacement. That's SpecProd. We fly where no one else dares.
MARINE & UNDERWATER FILMING
Arctic waters. Deep-ocean dives. Under-ice shoots. Our underwater housing leaks a little. Just kidding. (It doesn't. Anymore.)
Recent deployments.
Arctic Documentary: The Edge of Light
-30°C, polar night, 6 weeks, no showers
Alpine Summit — Brand Film
Whiteout, heli ops, one producer cried
Storm Chasers: The Eye
Tornado intercept, 200km/h winds, lots of screaming
The newest stuff.
Modified. Beaten. Perfect.
Off-the-shelf equipment doesn't survive what we do. We've melted cameras, drowned drones, and sent gimbals into orbit. Every piece of gear is modified until it can handle what we throw at it.
We design custom housings, thermal insulation, cold-weather batteries, and stabilized mounts that laugh in the face of physics. Some of our rigs look like science experiments. They are. And they work.
Pre-Deployment Risk Assessment
Every mission starts with a 72-hour analysis, medical screening, and the existential question: 'Are we really doing this?' (Spoiler: yes.)
Real-Time Weather Monitoring
Satellite-linked weather stations. Because 'we'll check the forecast' isn't good enough when the forecast is 'probably apocalypse.'
Emergency Extraction Protocols
GPS beacons, helicopter on standby, and a group chat full of people who know exactly where we are. Just in case.
Equipment Redundancy
3x camera bodies. 2x lenses. Hot-swappable power. If one breaks, we laugh and grab the next one. We're built for failure.
Countries Filmed
Extreme Shoots
Days in the Field
Excuses Made
Need something filmed
that shouldn't be possible?
We're always chasing the next impossible story. If you've got a location that scares other crews, a condition that breaks equipment, or a vision that demands more than the ordinary — we're the team you call. Together, for better entertainment.
